Bachelor's of Science in Nursing
In 1991, I returned to college after working for the NutraSweet Company as an Laboratory technician in which I specialized in Amino Acid separation via High Performance Liquid Chromotography (HPLC). I was also the company Instrumentation expert and provided support for our HPLC instruments. I discovered the world of nursing and graduated with honors in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

To broaden my scope of nursing practice, a Master's prepared nurse is vital to the healthcare of our nation. I pursued a Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist through OSF St. Francis Medical Center College of Nursing in Peoria, IL. I earned my Master's of Science in Nursing with honors and am board certified to practice in Adult medicine. I am currently employed in the area of Internal Medicine and enjoy caring for those individuals with complicated health care needs. I am proud of my thesis and included a link here.
Illinois Society for Advanced Practice Nurses
I was nominated for this Honor Society as a baccalaureate nurse by the faculty at Olivet Nazarene University. It is the second largest nursing organization in the world. The founders' vision is to advance the art of nursing as a science. It is the first organization in the United States that recognizes funding of nursing research and to advance nursing as a science.
